You watch as the aimless mass of people wander about. They don't seem to have much purpose, walking in circles, staring unseeingly off into nothing. You watch with trepidation as one seems to break from the pack, moving in your direction. He passes directly under a street light, giving you a full view from only 30 yards away.
His face is grey and sunken. You can see that part of the skin of his lower jaw is torn asunder, revealing teeth and bone. His dull eyes are milky white and staring coldly.
While you try to decide which zombie movie best depicted his likeness, he closes the distance to 10 yards. If he stays his course, he'll pass within feet of where you're hunkered down in the shrubbery. Can they smell live humans? Will your stomach growl again at this most tenuous of moments?
