30 May 06: It was brought to my attention that the original FAQ and thread have been removed from the Dell site, but there is an offshoot thread here. (Thanks Jim) Obviously, there must still be an issue of some sort because I'm seeing a steady increase in traffic and downloads. As of 03 May 04, Dell has closed the discussion forum regarding the DVI power save problem from further posts. They have an official FAQ addressing the issue here. (Link Dead 30May06) Their official fix is the DVI Recover utility, which they have mode available by contacting them. For those not interested in waiting, here it is. The zip file contains the floppy and CD versions. The instructions are available in their official FAQ.
